Apple plans to replace the iPhone 15 Pro's clicky power button with solid-state buttons.

However, it seems that the Cupertino-based tech company is preparing big design changes for its upcoming iPhone 15 series which is set to launch in 2023.

According to recent rumors, Apple intends to remove the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max's clickable volume and power buttons.

Instead, the buttons will be replaced by solid-state buttons similar to those seen on Apple's recently released Series 8 Apple Watch.

Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple analyst, announced the news on his Twitter account.

In his tweet, Kuo stated that the volume and power buttons on the high-end iPhone models would be solid-state, similar to the home button on the iPhone 7/8/SE.

As a result, physical/mechanical buttons will be replaced by new buttons.

The development also suggests that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will almost certainly keep the clicky buttons.
